THE REX COLLECTION
FROM HIGHTOWER / CIRCUFORM

We’re proud to bring the Rex Collection to North America through our partnership with Circuform, a Dutch brand setting new standards for circular furniture design. Rooted in a philosophy of reuse, repair, and renewal, Circuform creates products built to last — and to begin again.
Designed by Ineke Hans, one of the Netherlands’ most respected designers, Rex represents the union of thoughtful design and responsible production. Crafted from recycled materials and engineered for longevity, Rex embodies the kind of purposeful, enduring design that aligns with Hightower’s mission to support spaces where people work, learn, and connect.

Comfort in Every Sense
Rex brings a new layer of purpose to Hightower’s collection — a design that balances sustainability, comfort, and performance. Its ergonomically shaped seat and flexible backrest encourage active sitting, while durable, lightweight construction ensures long-term stability. Stackable and available with or without arms, Rex adapts easily to a range of environments, from collaborative workplaces to learning and hospitality spaces.

“It’s not just the design of a chair, but of an entire production chain.”
Ineke Hans — Designer, Rex
Design for Purposeful Spaces
Built with integrity, Rex embodies circular design in action. Made from recycled industrial waste — including fishing nets, carpets, and office chair components — it’s formed through precision injection molding (re-engineered for recycled material) into a durable, fully recyclable chair crafted for longevity. By minimizing new resource use and extending material life, Rex proves that sustainable manufacturing and modern performance can coexist beautifully. Strong, adaptable, and timeless, it reflects a straightforward idea: design that works beautifully today while safeguarding tomorrow.
Read on to learn how Rex turns recycled materials into lasting design through five intentional steps in its circular journey.

Intentional Details
Every detail begins with intention. Made from waste or renewable resources, each element is chosen for its color, durability, and performance. The result is a product that unites longevity and comfort — proving that responsibility and refinement can exist in perfect balance.

Consciously Crafted
Produced in modern facilities across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Italy, Rex is made through efficient industrial processes that nearly neutralize emissions. Every piece reflects European craftsmanship powered by green energy, ensuring long-lasting quality and responsible manufacturing from the very start.

Built to Last
Built to last and made to begin again, each chair is designed for years of use and renewal. When it’s time for something new, Rex can be returned, repaired, or remade — continuing its story and keeping valuable materials in use where they belong.

Made to Renew
Every returned chair is inspected, cleaned, and repaired to meet the same high standards it did on day one. Once restored, it’s reintroduced into circulation — ready to serve new spaces with the same comfort, quality, and purpose.

Back to the Start
When a chair can no longer be repaired, it’s transformed into new raw material. Components are shredded into regranulate, recycled, and molded again — becoming the next generation of Rex. The same material, renewed with the same integrity, keeps the circle perfectly closed.

Designed to Perform, Built to Endure
Rex embodies Hightower’s commitment to considered, future-focused design — products that perform beautifully while making a positive impact. Its circular process, from recycled material to renewal, proves sustainability and strength can coexist without compromise. Certified for indoor air quality, backed by a 5-year warranty, and tested to rigorous performance standards, Rex is ready for modern environments with a 6-week lead time for in-stock products. Thoughtful design. Delivered responsibly.
